My Entrepreneurial Spirit
I am a dreamer who has always dreamt of having my own business, my own niche, my own something that I created that I can be proud of. So, welcome to my website!
I am a wife (my husband is wonderful!) and a mother of four amazing kids (well, they’re adults now). I am a legal secretary with over 28 years experience. When my youngest son was 10, I decided to go back to school part-time to earn my college degree (while still working full-time). After 9 years, I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a degree in Business Management – Small Entrepreneurship. That was a proud moment for me. I worked hard for that degree. Like most women, I do a lot of juggling and look for ways to do things more efficiently.
My Dad is carpenter possessing a skill that is becoming a lost art. He pays attention to detail in his craft and he loves what he does. Whenever he did projects around the house, I was usually sitting right there talking to him and watching everything he did. He always answered my questions and even gave additional information about what he was doing and why.
All of those experiences with my Dad remain with me today and give me the ability to do projects around my own home. Whenever I come across a problem, I pickup the phone and Dad is there to help, always pointing me in the right direction. And, when my project is complete, I always call him and tell him about the job I did. I am always left with a great sense of accomplishment.
I Am a Home Executive
All of these things keep me very busy, and so I am the Executive of my Home. I believe that all women are Home Executives. We have many responsibilities, we are creative, and we are nurturing. I enjoy sharing with other people and learning what shortcuts work for them as well.
And so, my blog is about managing my life.
I look forward to getting to know you! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments!
